Journey Middle School

At Journey Middle School our goal is simple – We want to reach the world for Jesus one middle school student at a time!  We do this by creating opportunities for students to connect with God and one another, to grow in their relationship with Christ and understanding of The Word, and to serve in the capacity of their giftedness.

    Pursuit High School

Pursuit's aim is to be a weekly gathering place for high school students to connect with friends, to hear God's Word and to deepen their understanding of what it means to be a follower in pursuit of Jesus Christ.

Pursuit meets Mondays from 6:30 -8:00 PM.  The first Monday of the month we meet at 6:00 PM head to the Newberg campus for Community Night!

    Mexico Team,

Thank you for your enthusiasm for serving our friends at Tijuana Christian Mission during your Spring Break!  At our meeting Sunday we discussed the impact of the Coronavirus on the trip.  Our concerns center around students and leaders contracting the virus and the possibility of exposing children and workers at Tijuana Christian Mission to the virus as well.  We are also concerned with the potential challenges of traveling back into the United States.

After praying earnestly, following recommendations of the Centers of Disease Control and our church leadership, we have made the decision to not travel to Mexico this Spring Break.   We are, however, excited about the serve opportunity that has opened up at WiNeMa! We are transitioning our plans to go to WiNeMa Christian Camp on the Oregon Coast and will serve the camp in various ways.  We will also have the opportunity to build relationships, make memories, and have a lot of fun!  There will be a slight shift in the dates and the price of the trip.

We will meet at the Newberg Campus Tuesday, March 24th at 2:00pm to register and pack the bus. We will then head to In-N-Out! Our next stop on this new adventure is WiNeMa!  We will settle in and get prepared for a week of serving God! There will be some great times, hard work and lots of fun! We will return to Newberg Saturday March 28th in the late afternoon after fun activities.  We are reducing our Spring Break trip cost to $100. If you have already paid partially or in full above the $100, you will be refunded, or you can choose to apply that money toward your CIY MOVE payment for this summer.

More information will be being sent out next week about this amazing opportunity to serve for a week at WiNeMa. Below are some questions that you might have. If you have other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

If we can’t make it to the WiNeMa serve project, will we get a refund?

YES. If you are unable to make it to WiNeMa you will be refunded in full. You can also choose to apply that money toward CIY MOVE this summer. Contact Kaly at kaly@mynw.cc for any questions.

What if I’m a graduating Senior and this was my last year?

We have some exciting opportunities for the graduating seniors to go to TCM this summer. There are two available weeks we are exploring.  We will contact our seniors with all of that information soon.

What if I have friends who weren’t able to go Mexico but want to go to WiNeMa?

Absolutely! Registration will be opened for additional students and leaders to attend this trip. Contact Kaly at kaly@mynw.cc for registration questions or information.

What if the status of the Coronavirus changes? Will this impact the WiNeMa trip?

We are closely monitoring the situation and recommendations. If anything changes we will be in contact as soon as we can.

    What about prayer warriors?

We believe prayer is an important aspect of not only the Mexico trip but our lives in general. Because of this, prayer warriors are still happening. They might look a little different. We will not be having a prayer send-off meal like we have previously done but look forward to our serve celebration following the trip to connect students with their prayer warriors.

    What about prayer partners?

Yes! We will still do prayer partners. It will still be a secret who you’re praying for this week. At our closing session we will reveal our prayer partners! This is always a special service!

Please contact us if you have any other questions.
